How we compare: rental rates across Dhaka currently sit around ৳5,000 for a weekly package and ৳7,500 to ৳9,500 monthly for a basic two-function bed, with several providers adding delivery charges on top of the quoted rate. Our basic bed is competitive against that, and our delivery and collection are included rather than billed separately. For three-function and electric beds most competitors simply say “quoted on request” — we publish ours.

Optional extras: an anti-decubitus air mattress from ৳2,800, an over-bed table at ৳9,600, IV stand, and oxygen support. Ask for a bundle rate — combining equipment in one delivery is cheaper than three separate arrangements.

Which Bed Should You Rent?

Rent the 2-function bed (from ৳6,000) when the patient can shift position themselves and mainly needs to sit up for meals, breathing comfort and visitors. It covers most post-operative recoveries.

Rent the 3-function manual (৳10,000) when someone will be providing hands-on care every day. The third function is height adjustment, and it is not a comfort extra — it is what stops a daughter or an attendant wrecking their back over months of washing, changing and turning a patient at the wrong height.

Rent the electric bed (৳14,000) when the patient is bedridden, when they want to adjust their own position through the day without calling for help, or when the main caregiver is elderly or managing alone. Repositioning by remote happens more often than repositioning by crank, and frequent repositioning is what protects skin.

Add an air mattress for any patient who cannot reposition themselves independently. Ask the discharging nurse for the pressure-injury risk assessment — if the patient is high risk, the mattress matters more than the bed.

One practical note on electric beds: they stop working during load-shedding. Ask us about manual crank backup on the model you are renting if outages are frequent where you live.

Our electric bed rents at ৳14,000. To buy a three-function electric bed outright costs ৳70,000. A three-function manual rents at ৳10,000 and buys at ৳45,000.

Rent when recovery has a foreseeable end — post-operative healing, rehabilitation with a discharge target, or palliative care measured in weeks. Rent also when the duration is genuinely unknown, which is most discharge days.

Buy when care will clearly run long, the condition is progressive, or the family expects to need a bed again. Steel-frame beds hold resale value reasonably well in Bangladesh, which softens a purchase more than most families realise.

And ask about used. Our inspected used hospital beds sit between the two — a genuine option for families who need to own but cannot stretch to new.

What if something breaks during the rental? Call us. Repair or replacement during the rental is our responsibility. Please do not attempt repairs yourself.
